SAP ECC TO S4 HANA CONVERSION:

In this Document we will explain the SAP ECC to S4 Hana Conversion.
We have divided into different phases for SAP ECC to S4 HANA conversion.
Please check below details for conversion.

Conversion details:
ECC version: SAP ECC6.0 EHP8 SP15
Target S/4 HANA Version: S/4 HANA2023 Initial Shipment.                                                                                    SAP ECC to S/4 HANA Conversion: Pre-Requisites Phase1:

Pre-checks:
         1.  If your source system is ERP6.0 and lower version. At least minimum sap net weaver version is SAP NW                            7.0 SP14 is required. SAP Note: 1850327
         2.  If your source system is lower version, then one step conversion from ERP6.0 SAP NW7.0 SP14 to S/4                          HANA is possible.
         3.  UNICODE:
              If it is dual stack system then convert from dual stack to single stack for SAP Net weaver 7.5 and EHP7                        or EHP8. SAP Note:1818619. Before start the conversation, we should be complete the stack conversion.
         4.  SAP ERP EHP8 Net weaver 7.5 is supports Unicode version. SAP Note: 2033243
         5.  Minimum Unicode version is SAP ERP6.0 SP20.
         6.  If source system is lower version then 2 type of conversion is possible.
         7.  One-step conversion
                From SAP ERP6.0 NW 7.0 SP14 to S/4 HANA (Check target release)
         8. Two-step conversion
               From SAP lower version to SAP ECC6.0 EHP7 or EHP8 with Unicode
               SAP ECC6.0 EHP 7 or 8 Version to S/4 HANA Version. (Check target release)
         9. Need to check S4HANA & Hana supported OS versions.

        10. Need to check s/4 hana supported Hana Database version.
        11. Need to check SUM2.0 latest releases for conversions.

Hana Sizing:

• Need to implement the below notes for Hana sizing.
• SAP Notes: 2816633 & 2913617
• Once Note has implemented then execute the below report.
• Report: /SDF/HDB_SIZING
• As per report, check the Hana Sizing for Hana Database.                                                                                    

Note Implementation:

• Need to implement the many notes in source system for readiness check and simplification item check and others.
• All ways implement the latest versions of the sap notes.
• If sap source system is higher version then check Backbone activity is performed or not. If not then kindly perform the Backbone activity on source system.
• Please implement the below latest versions.

• Need to Analysis the target version details.
• Analysis the Release information for S/4 HANA 2023 SAP Note: 3307222

• Check the Release information for Fiori S/4 HANA 2023 SAP Note: 3336823
• Analysis the Maintenance and update strategy of servers SAP Note: 2217489

Addons:

• Before conversion we need to uninstall the few add-ons in source system and un installation addon’s  is depending on Readiness check Dashboard.
• Analysis the uninstalling ABAP add-ons details in SAP Note: 2011192.

Technical downtime:

• As per sap notes , need to analysis the note for technical downtime . SAP Note: 2351294

Readiness check:

• SAP Readiness check is major part of the s/4 hana conversion and upgrade phases.
• In This phase we need to implement the sap notes.
• As per notes, need to execute the report and run the background mode.
• Based on result, we will identify the Readiness check and simplification items status.
• Based on activity, we need to maintain the SAP Components versions

• Readiness and Simplification item check phase, we need to check with Functional and Technical team for further process.
